You're semi-prone in thick mud and bramble inching into the ideal snipe-spot. The antlers of the twelve point you've been tracking for several miles are just visible in the glen before you as he bellows to his small harem. Heavy rain the evening before saturates the ground making tracking easier but movement slower and causing muck to cling to your clothes and equipment like that crazy college-ex who still likes every photo you post.

As you shuffle forward to the old treefall ahead and wait for the perfect shot, the last thing on your mind should have to be cleaning up your gun and gear. Although GunSkins can't help you on the your online-stalker, we can provide some relief when it comes to your weapon's care.

Some vinyl-wrapping products are distinctively labeled water resistant, meaning they may peel and even leave behind sticky residue, leaving you quite literally worse for wear; whereas GunSkins wraps have been thoroughly tested and are clearly marked water proof. They can be submerged in a bucket of water overnight with no repercussions to their integrity. Our premium vinyl wraps are 100% waterproof, meaning there is no risk of product failure or peeling off when wet.

Waterproof Shotgun Skin

Duck hunting season is waiting for you! We have several camouflage patterns for hunting waterfowl; so when the time comes to put on your galoshes, insulated bib, and gloves... GunSkins is here to ensure your shotgun matches in camouflage and is ready for that dip in the marsh. Why purchase a protective covering that won't safeguard your equipment in real life situations where you need it most?

When installed correctly, the vinyl forms an air-tight seal. The material is non-porous, which keeps air and moisture from seeping through. The same is true for anything trapped underneath, so it's vital to prep your surface properly. Degrease your weapon to remove any trace of oil or grease. Use rubbing alcohol to remove any standing moisture and let air dry completely.

Once the gun is thoroughly cleaned and dry, the vinyl can grab on with maximum strength and protection. Hitting the GunSkins with a heat gun activates the bonding agent and seals the deal. Press down firmly with your fingers to ensure any edge and seam conforms to the shape of your weapon. Also, remember that GunSkins don't require cure time! The weapon is ready for use as soon as you are done with the last heat treatment.

Waterproof Gear Skin

In the renowned words of the infamous Billy Mayes, "But wait, there's more!" GunSkins camo wraps aren't just water proof, they're salt-water proof. The advantage of all this means that fishermen and scuba divers alike can apply a vinyl camouflage finish to all of their marine gear without batting an eye! Wrap your flippers, goggles, and spear gun for a good time under the sea! Gear Skins are perfect for wrapping any surface.

GunSkins are designed for the end user, enhancing their shooting experience in a variety of applications. Whether you are trudging through the rain, basking in the sun, or fighting off the reef sharks we've got you covered!

Clifton, since we don’t have a template specifically for the Ruger 9mm Charger, We recommend taking a custom approach using our Gear Skin. It’s a little more work, but not impossible. Use heat to conform the vinyl to your gun and trim away excess to make fit however you like.

Jose, for an over/under shotgun, consider using a large Gear Skin to get the job done. The regular Shotgun Skin only comes with enough material to wrap a single barrel, not two.

Marc, we suggest cleaning the surface with gun-specific degreasers and oils. Froglube CLP is our go-to. Avoid strong chemicals such as acetone and chlorinated brake cleaner as these are not plastic-friendly.
