Froglube CLP - The Best in Gun Maintenance and Protection

CLP stands for Clean, Lubricate, and Protect. Froglube is more than a single product, it's a procedure. It starts with cleaning the weapon thoroughly and then lubricating it afterwards to ensure optimal efficiency and protection of all mechanical parts. Failure of operation is virtually unknown with using Froglube.

The Froglube CLP Starter Kit is perfect for new FrogLube users. This handy clamshell contains 1 oz FrogLube Solvent, 1.5 oz FrogLube CLP Squeeze Tube, and a brush. It's great for go bag or gun case!

The process begins with cleaning the weapon. Using the Froglube Solvent will remove all oils, dirt, grime, and any other petroleum products.When using the cleaning solvent, we recommend using the brush to scrub well along the surface, including recessed edges and corners. Guns are very porous and the gun oil is designed to settle into these areas. This will be particularly evident with a newer gun as they are generally excessively lubricated from the factory. Then wipe clean with a lint free cloth. Rubbing alcohol is a great second step to remove remaining residue but does not cut through gun oil.

NOTE: You should discontinue the use of petrochemical-based cleaners and lubricants since they negate the optimal effects of a FrogLube-treated weapon.

Once the gun is clean and dry, it's time to apply the CLP. For best results, apply heat to area to be treated. Heat from a heat lamp, heat blower or ambient sunlight is more than sufficient. Apply FrogLube and allow time to absorb. .Heat quickens the rate of absorption. Scrub, agitate, and wipe off excess. Normal cleaning tools such as nylon brushes, patches, wipes and towels are sufficient. Lubricate per manufacturers instruction. FrogLube will work dry or wet.

NOTE: In hot/dusty or extreme cold, follow manufacturers directions for use in extreme environmental conditions.
If storing, apply a light coat for long term protection.

Heat. Although not required, you will find that 15 min of direct sunlight or equivalent allows for thorough application of FrogLube. When the surface is warmed, the rate of FrogLube absorption is increased. The combination of the Solvent and the CLP will provide the best result. The two products were designed to integrate and provide the optimal performance from your firearm.
